Whether it's Anne Frank and bikes or pot cafes and the red light district, I think it is fair to say that a fair amount of Westerners have a vision of the Netherlands. Interestingly enough, the Dutch government has launched a campaign to "educate" would-be immigrants ... namely, Turks and Moroccans.
There is a short doc that all "non-westerners" now have to watch before applying. Inserted into this film is a shot of a topless woman in the ocean, and two men kissing. The point being to "set the tone" of what to expect.
