Here's the camera in front of the Howard Center post office in the Pinelands neighborhood of Cape Town. I thought this would be her last appearance before reaching Kim. I'm sad to report that the manager would not let us send it. I was prepared for the possibility, but frustrated at the reasoning. It's not that it's against post office regulations in S. Africa, or anything like that. He just seemed to think it would get stolen. After five minutes of listening to him reiterate this, I suddenly got the impression that he himself might be on the list of potential perpetrators. I guess I appreciate his honesty. Fingers crossed for Mauritius ...
